By accessing or using the Legacy Makers platform ("the Service"), including our website, editor tools, printing services, and digital sharing features, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service. We may update these terms from time to time, and continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of any revised terms.
Legacy Makers provides an online platform for creating, customizing, sharing, and printing funeral and memorial programs. The Service includes design templates, AI-assisted content generation, family collaboration tools, digital program sharing via QR codes and links, virtual guestbooks, and optional professional printing and fulfillment services.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating an account or placing orders. You must be at least 18 years of age, or have the consent of a legal guardian, to use the Service. Funeral homes and business users are responsible for the actions of staff members who access the platform under their accounts.
You retain ownership of all photos, text, biographies, tributes, and other content you upload to the Service ("User Content"). By uploading User Content, you grant Legacy Makers a limited, non-exclusive license to store, display, process, and reproduce that content solely for the purpose of providing the Service — including rendering programs, generating previews, enabling sharing links, and fulfilling print orders. You represent that you have the necessary rights and permissions to upload all User Content, including photos of the deceased and text authored by others.
The Service offers AI-assisted tools that can draft biographies, acknowledgments, tributes, and other text. AI-generated content is provided as a starting point and may contain inaccuracies. You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and approving all AI-generated content before publishing, sharing, or printing a program.
Program purchases and print orders are billed at the prices displayed at checkout. All payments are processed securely through our third-party payment processor. Prices are subject to change, but changes will not affect orders already placed. Because memorial programs are personalized products, completed digital purchases and printed orders are generally non-refundable once production has begun. If a printed order arrives damaged or contains a production error on our part, contact us promptly and we will reprint or credit the order at our discretion.
Estimated production and shipping times are provided in good faith but are not guaranteed. While we prioritize time-sensitive funeral deadlines and proactively monitor shipments, Legacy Makers is not liable for delays caused by carriers, weather, or other events beyond our reasonable control. You are responsible for reviewing and approving the final proof before printing; we print exactly what is approved.
Shared program links and QR codes provide access to a digital version of the memorial program. You control whether a program is shared and may request deactivation of a share link at any time. Guestbook messages submitted by visitors are the responsibility of their authors; we reserve the right to remove content that is offensive, unlawful, or inappropriate.
We collect and process personal information — including names, dates, photographs, and service details — solely to provide the Service. We do not sell personal information. Information contained in shared programs is visible to anyone with the share link. Please only include information the family is comfortable sharing publicly.
You agree not to use the Service to upload unlawful, infringing, defamatory, or obscene material; to harass or harm others; to attempt to gain unauthorized access to the platform or other users' data; or to resell or reproduce the Service's templates and designs outside of programs created through the platform. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
The Legacy Makers platform, including its software, templates, designs, graphics, and branding, is owned by Legacy Makers and protected by intellectual property laws. Purchasing a program grants you the right to print and share that program for personal, memorial purposes. It does not grant rights to reuse our templates or designs for commercial redistribution.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. While we strive for reliability, we do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that all defects will be corrected.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Legacy Makers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific order giving rise to the claim.
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service for violation of these terms, suspected fraud, or misuse of the platform. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases, but sections of these terms that by their nature should survive (including ownership, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) will remain in effect.
